About

Country Care Children’s Homes Ltd is an organisation that was established to provide therapeutic care to a range of looked after young people aged from 8-18. It has a range of homes presently having space for 11 young people across several provisions.

All of the organisations homes are registered and regulated by Ofsted. Some of our homes are rated as ‘Outstanding’ and we also have a separate school that holds its own Ofsted registration, which is also rated as ‘Outstanding’.

As an organisation all of our homes provide care, therapy and accommodation within warm therapeutic environments. Each home has its own specially trained staffing teams who are experts in therapeutic parenting techniques, offering young people real hope for the future.

The young people when needed are also able to utilize our registered school, this is especially beneficial when young people have spent some time away from education.

At Country Care, positive outcomes for young people have always been a priority and we have demonstrable success in helping young people to overcome their difficulties in order to achieve in all aspects of their lives. Some of our former residents are now at university, others have left the care system and have gone on to successfully live independently.

Country Care has a long history in meeting the needs of young people who come from chaotic backgrounds often with complex needs and histories. Such young people will have been identified as needing a period of residential care. During their stay, we assess and address their needs through planned activities, direct individual work and group work. All of our homes offer therapy, which is led by a Child Psychologist, the homes are able to offer as standard Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Empathic Behaviour Management.

Our routines ensure safety, they give structure and facilitate the progression of young people. This enables that to meet and exceed expectations. Young people are encouraged to work collaboratively with their staffing team and have great input into their individualised packages of care, so that they may create their own goals, targets and aspirations and achieve these successfully.

All of our homes provide on site therapy to suit the individual needs of young people. Our standard therapies include DBT, with a fortnightly skills group offered for our young people. All staff are trained DBT Skills coaches and have also received training in empathic behaviour management under the PACE Model.

Our school, The Meadows, is an independent school, registered with Ofsted and the Dfe. Our school is an approved AQA Examination centre and covers a wide curriculum. Any young person living within a provision of Country Care can access our school, should this be required.
